The Meadow Wing Dining Room offers mild to moderate staff support with dining needs.
- We offer a high staff-to-resident ratio at all meals. When necessary, staff members provide encouragement and cueing to residents during dining.
- The staff monitors resident intake during meals. We use this information to provide feedback regarding any concerning trends in a resident’s dining routine.
- We also monitor resident weights on a monthly basis, or more often, depending on resident needs. Any concerns regarding weight loss/gain are taken into consideration in the development of each resident’s ongoing dining and/or care plan.
- We offer a variety of options for residents with special dietary considerations, such as sugar-free diets. We can also assist residents with special consistency diets.
- A registered dietician visits Palo Alto Commons monthly, reviews all Meadow Wing residents’ dietary concerns, and provides valuable recommendations.
- We offer residents three snacks throughout the day. Staff may also assist with the coordination of any dietary supplements.
